New 'Ghostbusters' trailer is weak: Kevin Smith

Los Angeles, March 13 (IANS): Filmmaker Kevin Smith says the new trailer of the forthcoming film "Ghostbusters" is not strong enough.

"Whoever cut this trailer needs to be sat down, and I'm not going to call for their job to be taken away from them but they need to be scolded," Smith said.

"It could've been all men with the same jokes, and it still would have sucked. The trailer's not strong, and that doesn't mean the movie's gonna blow, like again the f**king pedigree of this movie is undeniable. There's no way all these people involved don't make a f**king funny, at least watchable fun movie," he added.

Directed by Paul Feig, "Ghostbusters" is slated to hit theatres in the US on July 15.

It stars Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones, while Chris Hemsworth will be seen in playing a supporting role.
