Moodbidri, Sep 26: ‘The developments should not have any bearing on politics. It ought to be undertaken in the interest of the people. The political mileage cannot be justified”, said M Veerappa Moily, chairman of Union Administrative Reforms Commission.
He was addressing the voters who had gathered at a bus stand, when he was campaigning for municipal polls here.
The municipal administration led by Congress has provided bus shelter, municipal office, veterinary clinic and several facilities besides involving itself in pro-people activities, he added.
Former MP Vinaykumar Sorake alleged that the coalition government has failed to issue ration cards efficiently.
MLA Abhyayachandra Jain urged the voters to cast their franchise in favour of Congress candidate, for the development of the town.
Campaign committee president Meghanath Shetty, Block Congress president Narayan Devadiga were present.
