Mangalore, Sep 26: Holy Hill, a barren land converted into a holy place, celebrated its decennial year on 24 September, 2007.

The hill located at Maroli, has attracted thousands of devotees in the last decade. Hence, the devotees gathered here to thank the lord for His blessings showered on hem.

It is, Paul Noel Rodrigues, who purchased this land 10 years ago for converting it into a Holy place. Now this place is popularly known as Holy Hill.

Speaking to TVdaijiworld, he said that he had got a dream about this place. He started searching the place which he had seen in his visions. He found this place and it was the same place he had seen in his vision. Finally, he decided to erect the cross here.

Evelyn D’Souza, a devotee who regularly visits here said that this is a cool and calm place. Whoever comes here will forget all his/her worries, added Evelyn.

Devendra and Rajani Anchan, a owners of the said land said that many people had come forward to buy this land at a very high rate. But they did not agree to sell it to them. When Paul Rodrigues came forward to buy this land to spread the glory of the lord, they agreed to sell it for religious purpose.
