India frees nine Pakistani fishermen


Islamabad, Mar 16 (IANS): At least nine Pakistani fishermen were released by India as a goodwill gesture, Pakistani media reported.

According to the Edhi Foundation, the Pakistani fishermen were handed over to Pakistan Rangers officials at the Wagah border checkpost, Dawn online reported.

The released fishermen were caught some 17 months back and all of them hail from Karachi.
