March 17, Bengaluru, DHNS : Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa and his wife Vijayalakshmi have got a warning from the Karnataka State Commission for Women over their marital discord.
The commission, which had registered a case on its own based on media reports of the discord between the celebrity couple, has warned them against indulging in a war of words.
The couple told the commission that they would resolve their disagreements in consultation with elders. They said they were concerned about the future and well-being of their son. The commission has warned them against repeating the fight, its chairperson Manjula Manasa said.
On Wednesday, Darshan and Vijayalakshmi appeared before the commission separately and recorded their statements. A source said they requested the commission to dispose of the case. The commission obliged them.
Vijayalakshmi appeared before the commission around 10.30 am and recorded her statement. Darshan, who was busy shooting the upcoming Kannada film ‘Jaggu Dada’ near the Deve Gowda petrol bunk in Banashankari, arrived at the commission’s office around 6.30 pm, recorded his statement in seven minutes and left.
Meanwhile, Vijayalakshmi’s complaint to the jurisdictional CK Achchukattu police is yet to be disposed of as she has not yet appeared before the investigators. Darshan has already recorded his statement before the police.
