Not possible to form government in Kashmir: BJP

New Delhi, March 18 (IANS): The BJP on Friday refused to accept any new demand from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and said it is not possible to form a government in Jammu and Kashmir based on conditions.

"We are not ready to accept any new demand. Whatever expectations are there, would be possibly fulfilled only after formation of a government," party general secretary Ram Madhav told reporters here.

"It's not possible to form the government on conditions," he added.

He spoke a day after PDP leader Mehbooba Mufti met Bharatiya Janata Party president Amit Shah in Delhi.

Madhav also said that the stalemate in government-formation in Jammu and Kashmir was not because of the BJP but due to the PDP.

"The prevailing situation in Jammu and Kashmir is not because of us. After Mufti Saheb's death, PDP had to choose a leader for the chief minister's post," he said.

The state is under Governor's Rule since Mehbooba Mufti declined to form the government in January after her father and chief minister Mufti Muhammad Sayeed died.

It is a Good decision of PDP of not joining with BJP because they don't want to erode their vote banks.

Nothing is impossible in life if there is a will and a spirit keeping religion aside. The will of the people matters a lot as no dictators have survived. Keep religion away from politics and you will find solutions. Never say not possible. If you are positive being leaders of good governance, then definitely a government will be formed in J&K. Never lose hopes as if you have the spirit and power to do it, then definitely everything can be achieved . Never say NO. "If you fail to plan, then you are planning to FAIL"

I appreciate BJP for not taking the demands from PDP. PDP is a anti national party and pro pakistan. BJP should work towards rehabilitating kashmiri Hindus back to the valley who were been driven away mercilessly by communal muslims in 90's PDP are communal as they think only about muslims. Well done BJP.

Until there is peace and stability in Kashmir, it is difficult to form a government. Right now there is lot of turmoil in that place.

Correct, all Azadi parties(PDP-NC-CONgress) can join together and start an Azadi alliance...Afzal Guru will be Rajya-Pita of this alliance...

Only one solution is there to solve this problem...merge J&K with Punjab and make a new Greater Punjab State...all separatists will fold their tail between their hind legs...
