Raped by father, girl gets video clip made as proof

JHANSI, Mar 19 (TNN) : A man was arrested in Orai in Jalaun district on Thursday for allegedly raping his daughter for four years. The girl had to get a video clip of the act made with the help of a friend to prove herself.

She walked into the police station on Wednesday, alleging that her father has been raping her for over four years. When the police officials asked for proof, she showed them the video clip.

The girl reportedly tried to tell her ordeal to her mother and sister many times, but they refused to believe her. She then took the help of a friend in the neighbourhood. On Wednesday, when her father again tried to exploit her, she called her friend. The girl left the window of her room open, through which her friend shot a mobile phone video of the abuse.

The girl showed the clip to her mother and both of them approached the police. Police officer Jang Bahadur Yadav said that a case has been lodged against the father under Section 376, 506 IPC and Section 34 POSCO Act on Wednesday night. He was arrested on Thursday. The medical report of the girl is awaited.

A bold act by the girl who brought to light the wicked deeds of her father. May Jesus heal her traumatized mind and help her overcome the shame and shock meted out to her by her father. Very sad indeed.
