Margao, Sep 29: Prominent writers Jaymala Danayat, Zito Ameida, Ravindra Mardolkar, Shakuntala Bharne and Maya Kharangate have been nominated for Konkani Bhasha Mandal's literary awards.

While Bro Eusebio Miranda has bagged the Journalism Award, John Mendosa has bagged Educational award and lifetime contribution awards are being given to Soter Barretto and Sadanand (Bhai) Tendulkar.

Purnanand Chari, KBM president announced these awards in press conference earlier this week.

KBM is celebrating its 45th Annual day on September 30 in its premises at Vidyanagar. On the same occasion awards, will be bestowed on all the awardees, said Chari.

Chari further said that the function would commence in the morning and chief minister Digamber Kamat would be present as the chief guest at the function. Dr Francisco Colaco will preside over the function.

The late Narsinhva Damodar Naik Award for literature goes to Jaymala Danayat for her book “Ambaddea Bhouvtilim Tin Shevntim’’

The late Roque Barretto Award sponsored by soter Barretto goes to Zito Almeida for his book “Goem Mhojea Sopnnatlem Painnem’’

Literature Award sponsored by Dayesh Naik-Quepem goes to Ravindra Mardolkar for his book “Kavita Suryacheo’’

The late Shivrai S Thorat Award sponsored by Saharsh S Throat goes to Shakuntala Bharne for her book “Nadabrahma’
