Mangalore, Sep 30: According to the latest reports filtering in clearly indicate that BJP is all set to sweep the Mangalore, Udupi and Kundapur Local Urban Body elections, which were held on Sept 28.
Udupi and Mangalore:
The news updates from Udupi wards indicate that BJP is leading by a huge margin in Udupi. Out of 17 seats declared so far, BJP has grabbed 14 while Congress had to be content with meager 2 seats while an independent candidate has got just one seat.
In Mangalore, out of the total 20 seats declared so far in MCC elections, BJP has grabbed 14 seats, Congress has won 4 and the remaining 2 by independent candidates.
Kundapur:
Latest report from Kundapur shows that out of 23 seats declared so far, BJP is leading in 15 Wards, Congress 4, Communists 2, JDS 1 and Nagarika Samithi by 1.
Bantwal:
With regard to the Bantwal Town Panchayat Elections, out of the total 23 Ward results, 16 Ward results have been announced Congress leading in 8, BJP in 6 Wards, and rest Independents.
