Unprecedented achievements during AAP rule: Delhi Lt. Governor

New Delhi, March 22 (IANS): Delhi Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung on Tuesday said the first year of the Delhi government was marked by "unprecedented achievements".

During his inaugural address at the start of the Delhi assembly's budget session, the governor said that the Aam Aadmi Party government had achieved a lot in its first year in office by providing affordable and quality services in the fields of education, health and public transport.

“The government has decided to open 1,000 mohalla clinics in several parts of Delhi. One of them is already operational in Peeragarhi area. The Delhi government is also providing free medicines in all public hospitals,” Jung said in his speech.

“The Delhi government came up with a unique idea of odd-even policy in January, which was widely accepted and appreciated. The government is planning to relaunch the policy from April 15,” Jung said while lauding the efforts of the Arvind Kejriwal government with whom he has been at loggerheads over several issues.

“We only count achievements on this day, there is nothing special in it. The government made some unprecedented achievements in the last one year,” Jung told reporters while coming out of the assembly complex after his address.
