Eight killed in Afghanistan road accident


Kabul, Mar 24 (IANS): Eight people were killed and eight others wounded in a road accident in Afghanistan's Balkh province on Thursday, police said.

Three sedan were involved in the crash which occurred along a road in Robat locality of Chimtal district, Mohammad Zahir, a police officer, told Xinhua news agency.

The bodies along the injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital, he added.

The road connects the neighbouring Zari district to the provincial capital of Mazar-i-Sharif city.

The weather was foggy at the time of accident, according to the official.
