New Delhi, March 24 (IANS): President Pranab Mukherjee on Thursday greeted the nation on Holi and hoped the festival of colours will “strengthen the fraternal bonds among our citizens”.
"Warm greetings and good wishes to all my fellow countrymen on the joyous occasion of Holi... May the festival of Holi strengthen the fraternal bonds amongst our citizens," Mukherjee tweeted.
“May this unique festival of colours be a joyous expression of the spirit of pluralism,” Mukhrejee added.
He said Holi promotes the spirit of tolerance and harmony.
“The festival of Holi symbolises vibrant colours of our diverse multicultural society and spirit of tolerance and harmony,” the president wrote on his twitter handle @RashtrapatiBhvn.
