Mumbai: Kannadiga Kalavidara Parishathu celebrates 9th anniversary

Mumbai, Mar 25: Kannadiga Kalavidara Parishathu Maharashtra celebrated its ninth cultural art festival at Dr M Vishweshwaraya auditorium, Matunga west on Friday afternoon, March 25. Well known medical official Dr Rathnakar Shetty lit the traditional lamp and set the programme in motion.












Parishat president Surendra Kumar Hegde presided over the programme. Senior author Dr Sunitha M Shetty, social workers Shekar R Shetty, Ananda Shetty Ekkaru, Shakuntala K Kotian, Anitha Santhosh Shetty, journalist Chandraskekhar Palethady, businessmen Chandrahasa Shetty, Pradeep Chandan and Suresh Shetty Gandharva were the guests of honour.

Parishat members presented Thale Maddale and Gurbi tulu drama. Yaksha Kalataranga Dashavatara Yakshagana Mandali Meeramumbai group enacted Pandarpur Mahima Marathi yakshagana.

Parishat vice president Kamalaksha Saraf welcomed and gave the keynote address. Amitha Kala Sumangala Shetty and Sushila Devadiga said the prayer. Mohan Rai compered the cultural programme and Dayasagar Chowta compered the hall programme. Honorary chief secretary Navunda Raju Sriyan proposed the vote of thanks.
