Mangaluru: Fruits vendor robbed of nine lac rupees

Mangaluru, Mar 28: A fruits merchant was robbed of nine lac rupees by a man who snatched away a bag containing cash from him on Sunday March 28. The incident occurred near the central market here.

Nawaz, the wholesale fruits dealer in question, had placed nine lac rupees in his black laptop bag at around 11.45 am in the scooter that was sparked near the central market. After placing the bag containing cash in the legroom in the scooter, he was wearing the helmet when an unidentified person suddenly came near him, snatched the bag away, and fled.

Although Nawaz gave the robber a hot chase, he did not succeed in nabbng him. The scene of a man taking away the bag has been captured in the CCTV camera nearby. Policemen have visited the spot and pooling details to identify the culprit.
