Modi government's foreign policy flawed: Congress

New Delhi, March 30 (IANS): The Congress on Wednesday dubbed the government's foreign policy "flawed" and said the opposition will seek answers from Prime Minister Narendra Modi in parliament.

Reacting to the visit of a Pakistani team to Pathankot to probe a terror attack, Congress leader Anand Sharma said: "The foreign policy of the Modi government is flawed.

"The prime minister does not understand the gravity and seriousness of diplomacy, and he has tried to use every event as a photo-op opportunity," Sharma told the media.

"The opposition will seek answers from the prime minister on these issues. He will not be allowed to hide his failures," said Sharma, deputy leader of the opposition in the Rajya Sabha.

"We are not against talks with Pakistan but there is need for more clarity on the government's stand as two terrorist attacks have happened in the country since the prime minister's meeting with (Pakistan Prime Minister) Nawaz Sharif in Ufa (Russia) - first at Udhampur and then Gurdaspur."
