Karkala, Mar 31: Christ King Educational Institute, here, was conferred the 'Best Public School in Karnataka' award by World Wide Achievers Organisation at the Asian Educational Convention 2016. The award was handed over to Peter Fernandes, trustee of the institute.

The organisation has recognised the institute’s quality education along with all facilities imparted for the growth of the student. Student discipline and skill sets, human morale, achievements of the alumni and trustees, selfless social service, all-round development and achievements of the school were the other factors taken into consideration.

The event witnessed dignitaries like Upendra Kushwa, state minister, human resources, central government, Vinod Kumar Bidar, Sahayog Cell, BJP, M S Bitta, president, All India Anti-Terrorism Cell, Dr Udith Raj, MP Delhi, Kiron Kher, actress, MP, Delhi, Divya Dutta, actress of the fame ‘Chalk and Duster’, Jayanth Gilator, director on the dais.
