Above statistics of 30 candidates among 539 contesting (5.5%) is not much of a concern, in a country whose sanctum sanctorum called parliament has 186 elected representatives (35% or more than one third) with criminal, murder and rape charges, as reported by Election Commission.

If you are common citizen and in the past served time in a prison for any crime, the state has the right to review your application closely and deny the Passport it on the grounds of threat.
Why in India People's representative despite presenting affidavit with criminal records qualify to fight an election?
Does Indian constitution has special provision and treatment for criminal candidature?
There must be amended in this direction to purge the system from criminalization.
We the Citizens of India demand autonomous Election commission of India, to publish the affidavit of criminal candidate in its domain and local media before election.
Also,We seriously doubt the credibility of verification process of the elected members to hold office despite forge documents.

Is this a breaking news? Every one knows that every party have this type of people. Every election time we will here this and the matter will be ignored till the next election. You can see even the AAP which said that nobody can contest if he have any charges. But after that come to know that so many are with some or the other charges. It is hard to say that it is an big issue in indian politics.

Criminals were making their living from underworld activities are finding green pasture in Politics.
Is it a sign of prosperity or disaster for India?
Do corporate employ criminals? Why then Political parties do?
