Udupi, Oct 6: A protest meet was held by the Udupi Block Congress committee here on Friday October 5.
The cases filed at the City Municipal Council (CMC) against party workers in the aftermath of the elections should be withdrawn, urged the Block Congress committee to the police department.
Speaking at the meeting, former MP Vinaykumar Sorake and former MLA UR Sabhapathi informed that false cases were being registered at the insistence of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
They further stated that the BJP workers should stop threatening Congress workers.
