Mumbai, Apr 4: Well known poet, spiritual thinker, cultural scholar Mithrapatna Narayana Bangera was felicitated at Dr M Vishwesharaya auditorium, Matunga on Saturday evening April 2.






























The felicitation programme was held by Narayana Bangera Abhinandana Balaga and presided over by Kalajagathu organization president Karnataka Rajyotsava award winner Thonse Vijayakumar Shetty. Vidwan Ramadasa Upadhya Renjala was the chief guest. Dr Sunitha M Shetty, advocate Mohiddin Mundkooru, Dr Suresh S Rao Kateelu, Ajith G Suvarna, Nithyananda D Kotian, Chandrashekar Palethady, Sadananda Kotian, Rathnakar Shetty Mundkooru, Suresh R Kanchan, Dinakara Mithrapatna, Jayaram A Shetty Worli were the guests of honour.

The guests honored Narayana Bangera and Sushila Bangera couple, Kamalaksha N Bangera, Shivananda N Bangera their sons, Deepika and Vamsha their grand children and family. Vidwan Ramadasa Upadhyaya gave the keynote address and congratulated him.

Felicitation committee honorary president Jagannath Puthran, vice president Surendrakumar Hegde, S K Uchil, Santhosh Puthran, treasurer Krishna Kumar Bangera, joint secretaries Sanjiva Ekkaru, Ganesh Ermal, joint treasurer Dayananda Bangera, Sudhakar Karkera, Raju Sriyan and others were present.

Prajna Mayur Kanchan performed a dance. Ganesh Ermal and party read verses and poems by Haridasa. A tulu drama titled Moksha, directed by Thonse Vijayakumar Shetty was presented at the end of the programme.

    YES it was a grand function and a befitting felicitation to Vidvaan Mitrapatna Narayana Bangera.
    I had an unique opportunity to present him my FIRST OF THAT KIND the calendar in Thulu Lipi named "PASU " covering the period 14.4.2016 to 13.4.2016 commencing on the first day of new year YUGADI of THULUVAAS. The calendar is in continuation of my last year calendar KONDE prepared in THULU LIPI and was released by MP Shri Gopal Shetty during the celebration of the anniversary of Thulu Sangha Borivali. The present calendar named "PASU' is dedicated to Vidvaan Narayana Bangera and the same is printed in the First page of the calendar much earlier without knowing the date of felicitating him. Hence I took the opportunity to present the calendar which was released on 26 3.2016 by Shri Dayanada Bontra as invited Guest of honor during the 22nd Anniversary of Sahitya Balaga.It was unexpected coincident that the calendar which was dedicated to him could be presented to him during the function. A complacence to my efforts and a memorable occasion. The calendar was finally released and distributed on 14.4.2016 during the THULU DAY celebration at GOREGAON KARNATAKA SANGHA which was graced by Shri Dayasagar Chauta to deliver his DATHTHIVINYAASA on Thulu Literature and Thulu Lipi'
