Karkala, Oct 6: The Sethusamudram project has been hitting news headlines for long now. After Tamil Nadu chief minister entered the pro-Sethusamudram movement, he has been facing severe and several criticisms from all sides. Now a few Hindu associations have lodged a case against Tamil Nadu chief minister Karunanidhi in Karkala police station for insulting the Hindu religion.
Recently Karunanidhi allegedly used abusive words against Lord Sri Ram and Ramasethu while addressing a gathering in Tamil Nadu. "In this way, Karunanidhi sowed seeds of conflict and provoked Hindus," the complaint stated.
Karunanidhi's statement has been published in a newspaper here. Based on this report, a total of 46 people filed complaint separately. Karkala town police station sub-inspector has registered these cases.
