International hard tennis ball cricket tournament from Apr 26 to May 1

Udupi, Apr 5: For the first time in the history of Indian hard tennis ball cricket, an international hard tennis ball cricket tournament has been organized by the Udupi Cricket Club from April 26 to to May 1 at the M.G.M Grounds at Udupi. This tournament had already been organized at Ajman, Dubai and Sharjah under the leadership of Saadhik Kaup. The main motive behind organizing this tournament in Udupi is to acquaint the localites with the hard tennis ball tournament.

This tournament being organized in Udupi will have teams from Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Qatar, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, from states like Kolkata, Gujarat, Goa, Maharashtra, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, and Telegana and from Mangaluru and Udupi Cities. The pattern of the tournament will be as same as the league matches limited to 10 overs.

Winning team of this tournament will grab a whooping amount of Rs 20 lac and a winning trophy, while the runner ups will take home Rs 10 Lac and the trophy. The teams that will make to the third and forth positions will take home with them Rs 2 Lac each. Individual winners like Man of the series will take home an attractive Car, while the Best Batsman and the Best Bowler will win a Bike each. Man of the Match in every game will win a trophy and a cash prize.

Star players of Indian Cricket, Bollywood stars, political leaders from the Centre and State Government will be gracing at this occasion.

Specailities:

  •  The matches will start from 7:00 am and will end at 12:00 am in the midnight. Thus another attraction will be the game     played under the floodlights.
  •  Ground will be set as per international norms.
  •  The ground will be covered with green lawn grass.
  •  Third Umpire will be installed.
  •  A gallery with capacity to hold 30,000 spectators.
  •  Direct Live in the T.V as well as YouTube.
  •  Free entry for all the viewers.
  •  Local players from Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will be represent and play in the gulf teams.
  •  The tournament is first of its kind to be witnessed in Udupi.
  •  The total amount spent for this tournament is Rs 1.30 crore.
