Udupi, Apr 5: Geleyara Balaga Marpalli and Mahila Mandali celebrated their anniversary on Saturday April 2. Alevoor grama panchayat president Srikanth Nayak inaugurated the programme.




























Speaking on the occasion, he said that several developmental works are held in this part of Udupi. “More such works are planned with the cooperation of local people. A permanent solution will be found for
drinking water problems. A request is submitted to the district in-charge minister in this connection,” he said.

Alevoor Shantiniketan English medium school convener Dinesh Kini and chief guest of the programme said that good education and nutritious food provided to children by the parents will enable them to be
excellent citizens of the country.

Well known Ayurveda doctor K P Ravichandra presided over the programme. Businessman Yathish Poojary, Mahila Mandali honorary president Anuradha Uday, president Surekha, treasurer Manjunath Shettigar, Ramesh Marpalli and Sadashiva Acharya were present.

Elderly local farmer Madhava Poojary was honored on the occasion. Honorary president Kunhumonu welcomed the gathering. Secretary Harischandra read the report. President of the Sangha, Umesh Marpalli proposed the vote of thanks. Joint secretary Ganesh Devadiga compered the programme.

Mahila Mandali members presented variety entertainment and members of the Sangha enacted 'Daye Incha Maltha', tulu comedy drama written by Dinakara Bhandary Kananjaru.
