Mangaluru: Four enter lodge at Kuntikan, assault staff

Mangaluru, Apr 6: A complaint stands filed in Urwa police station in the city against four persons who allegedly vandalized a lodge at Kuntikan here. It is said that the gang of four, which barged into the said lodge, assaulted Sadanand, who operates the lodge, receptionist, Ganesh Bangera, and room boy, Sachin.

The incident occurred on the night of Monday April 3. The gang not only verbally abused the room boy and Sadanand, but also attacked them and posed death threats before returning, it is said. The gang returned at around 3 am on Tuesday, questioned the receptionist about the whereabouts of the lodge owner, and tried to attack the receptionist with a sword, as per the complaint.

Urwa police have registered the case and begun investigation.
