Man commits suicide by jumping on Metro track


New Delhi, Apr 6 (IANS): A man in his late 20s committed suicide by jumping on a Metro track here on Wednesday morning, police said.

The incident took place at Rohini West Metro station at 9.16 a.m.

"The man has not been identified yet as we could not recover any identity proof from him. The reason behind the extreme step is yet to be ascertained as he had no suicide note," Deputy Commissioner of Police (Delhi Metro) Jitendra Mani told IANS.

Mani said that the man died at the spot as he was hit by the Metro moving towards Rithala.
