Bangalore, Oct 8: Mumbai girl Pooja Gandhi aka Sanjana Gandhi, who won the hearts of Kannada movie-goers with her much-hyped debut 'Mungaru Male' Kannada movie, celebrated her birthday on Sunday, October 7. As usual with all film celebrities, it was not announced how many years she completed on the occasion.
Pooja, who made an entry into Sandalwood domain with a bang a year ago, can now be called a Kannadati, since she has learnt to speak Kannada fluently. She even signs autographs in Kannada.
Reigning on the waves of popularity, Pooja has managed to keep her head straight on her shoulders, and has not allowed the glare and attention to sweep her feet off. "Success," she says, "is here today and tomorrow, but friendship is something that is long-lasting indeed." Wise words, indeed, for someone who has done only a few films in Kannada, out of which 'Mungaru Male' was a runaway hit.
After 'Mungaru Male', she played smaller roles in 'Manmatha' and 'Milana' and her film 'Krishna' along with her debut hero Ganesh is now seeing a fair run in movie-houses.
'Kannada filmdom has given me a break. Kannadigas have appreciated my acting talents. I will never forget this,' she avers.
