Mangaluru, Apr 8: Bishop of Mangaluru Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza ordained Fr Lawrence Cutinha as a priest at the shrine of miracle saint St Joseph at Mudipu.































Fr Denis Moras, Fr Joseph Martis, Fr Benjamin D’Souza, director of the shrine, Fr J B Saldanha, other priests, nuns, family members, friends and relatives participated in the event.

Fr Lawrence Cutinha, born in Mudipu on 19 July 1986, is the son of late Felix Cutinha and Eugene Cutinha. He has 3 brothers and a sister. He started his schooling at Kambala Padav School in Mudipu and did his high school at Madani high school Ullal. After that he studied PUC at Rosario P.U College and got his B.Com degree at St Aloysius College Mangaluru. He joined the seminary in 2008. He did his regency at St Anthony church in Naravi. He also served at Ranipura (Our Lady, the Queen of the Universe), Shankarapura (John the Evangelist), and Fermai (St Anthony) as brother. He worked as Deacon at St Lawrence church in Moodubelle after his deaconate on 14 October 2015. He is first priest to be ordained from Mudipu parish.
