M'luru: Konkani devotional songs CD by Oswald D'Souza released

Mangaluru, Apr 9: 'Gavyam Devak Dhinvasumya - volume 8', an album of Konkani devotional songs rendered by Oswald D'Souza Valencia was released at a programme held at Sandesha Foundation Bajjodi, here on the evening of April 7. The CD, containing 20 devotional songs was released by Fr Walter Albuquerque S J, to whom the album is dedicated in the 93rd year of his life.















After releasing the CD, Fr Albuquerque praised Oswald for his devotional service and felt that this CD is a must for every household, where it will create a devotional ambiance.

Lyrics, tune and music of the CD have been provided by Oswald D'Souza Valencia. Lyrics fine-tuning has been done by A L Monis and Richard Lasrado. Vocals were recorded at Sandesha Digital Studio by Joel Pereira. Shinoy V Joseph of CAD Media did the mixing and mastering. Orchestration was done by M V Anil, while production was attended to by Oslil Gloria Valencia.

Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy president, Roy Castelino, gurkar of Mandd Sobhann, Eric Ozario, Raknno editor, Fr Valerian Fernandes, president of Mandd Subhann, Louis Pinto, and several other dignitaries were present.

Donors, dignitaries, singers and musicians were honoured on the occasion by Fr Albuquerque. Eric Ozario and Fr Valerian spoke a few words taking note of the profound virtues and services rendered by Osald D'Souza Valencia.

Oswald D'Souza Valencia proposed the vote of thanks. Richard Lasrado compered the programme.
