Bengaluru: Land-grab case - Court summons BSY

Shivamogga, Apr 13 (DHNS): Lokayukta court here issued summons to State BJP President B S Yeddyurappa, his son B Y Raghavendra, MLA of Shikaripur, and five others in connection with encroachment of forest land at Hunasekatte village of Bhadravathi taluk.

The special court ordered notice based on a private complaint lodged by advocate B Vinod. The court took cognizance under Section 13(1)(d)(e) R/W13(2) of Prevention of Corruption Act and IPC Sections 120(B), 420, and violation of Land Reforms Act and Forest Act. The accused have been directed to appear before the court on May 17.

It may be mentioned here that the same case was earlier rejected by Shivamogga special lokayukta court stating that sanction was not given by Governor. Following this, the complainant had approached the High Court which directed the lower court to admit the private complaint, stating that the permission of the Governor was not necessary.

Innocent, 'until proved guilty', is the operative term in most of the cases.

A strong Advocate is definitely capable of defending (through strong arguments, and exploiting the deficiencies in the points raised by the Complainant's Advocate) his high profile clients/. Hence, the client/s manage not to get convicted.

Yeddy has definitely been lucky, in this respect.

Can we assume that, this is a free publicity? I am very sure, before next election court will pass its verdict stating there is not enough evidences hence no case stand against him.

We Indians are widely divided in religious based politics. Lost the sense in differentiating between righteousness and evil.

Prior independence British stole our wealth and now our elected members are on the race and follow their foot steps.

Our politicians Do not spare even God.

Very good. Good decision by the HC.
This should apply to all of his other cases where he may have used his influence to make cases "Puska"

Making him Karnataka State BJP President itself goes to show how BJP supports corruption from it's high cadres.
People should note this and vote diligently during election time.
Such people should be nicknamed as "Grabbers" i.e. grabber so and so..
