Udupi, Apr 13: Kaup municipal council is created with its all-round development in mind. Congress party is ready for it with necessary preparations. The verdict of the people in municipal council elections will be useful later when Kaup will be converted as Taluk center, said minister of Urban development and district in charge
minister Vinay Kumar Sorake.

Speaking in the news conference in Kaup Rajiva Bhavan on Tuesday, April 12 he released the party manifesto and the list of candidates. He said that Kaup town municipal council is not prepared for the sake of prestige but it is created for development realizing that funds can be brought from his own department in 27 grama panchayat limits in Kaup constituency represented by him.

“The party has prepared an environment coming out from the shocking loss of last elections. Sincere, able and educated candidates are selected to stand for elections in 23 wards of Kaup municipal council. Congress has faith in the electorate and we are facing elections with the intention of clean sweep”, he said.

“Creation confusion is the work of BJP. Those who opposed Municipal council are trying to convince the people by giving confusing statements. BJP has refused tickets to those who were in power as presidents during the creation of municipal council. With this the inner secret of BJP can be made out”, he said.
