Mother, daughter shot dead over property dispute

Lucknow, April 14 (IANS): A woman and her elder daughter were shot dead on Thursday while the younger one was critically injured by a male relative in Fatehpur district of Uttar Pradesh, said a police officer.

Vimla, a widow, had a property dispute with her nephew, which turned violent when he opened fire on her and her two daughters, said the police officer.

The woman and her elder daughter died on the spot while the younger daughter has been admitted to hospital in a critical condition.

The elder daughter was to get married on Saturday, said the police officer.
