Mangaluru: Auto rickshaw driver dies in road accident in city

Mangaluru, Apr 15: After an auto rickshaw overturned at the circle near the circuit house at Kadri Hill in the city on Thursday April 14 evening, the driver of the auto succumbed to his injuries. The victim happens to be Everest (52) from Ranipura.

Everest was driving his auto towards A J Hospital at Kuntikana from the direction of Nanthoor, when he lost control over the vehicle when negotiating the circle. The auto lost its balance and fell on its side.

Everest, who suffered grave injuries in the accident, was provided treatment, but he succumbed to injuries sometime later. Three passengers who were travelling in the vehicle suffered minor injuries.

A case stands registered in traffic (east) police station here. The policemen have undertaken investigation.
