Five of Andhra family killed in road accident in Bihar


Patna, April 17 (IANS): Five members of a family from Andhra Pradesh, including two women, were killed on Sunday when their vehicle rammed into a truck in Bihar's Kaimur district, police said.

All those killed were tourists who were on their way from Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh to Gaya town in Bihar, a district police officer said.

"Five people were killed on the spot and two were seriously injured and admitted to a hospital in Varanasi for treatment," the police officer said.

The accident took place near Mohania town in Kaimur when the vehicle in which the Andhra Pradesh family was travelling crashed into a truck parked by the roadside, the officer said.

All the victims were identified as residents of Rajahmundry in East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh.
