Two killed in Andhra firecrackers blast


Visakhapatnam, Apr 18 (IANS): At least two persons were killed and eight others injured when firecrackers exploded in Andhra Pradesh's Srikakulam district on Monday, police said.

The incident occurred in Guruvam village when the firecrackers allegedly stored in a house caught fire and exploded.

According to witnesses, there were loud explosions. The injured, including three women, were shifted to a hospital in Rajam.

It is suspected that the firecrackers were being illegally manufactured and stored in the house.
