Kasargod, Apr 21: A quarrel for trivial reason between two men under the influence of alcohol ended in the murder of one of them at Chittarikal late night on Tuesday, April 19.
The deceased has been identified as Sathish (50), resident of Kamballooru.
Accused Soman has been arrested. It is learnt that a fight had erupted between the two under drunken stupor. Soman reportedly hurled a large stone at Sathish which resulted in his death.
Soman, a resident of Payyanur resident had come to stay at Kamballooru a year ago and was going to work with Sathish. They consumed liquor on the night of Tuesday April 19 and reached Kamballuru bus stand.
Liquor bottles were found near the dead body.
The dead body was taken to Pariyaram medical college for postmortem.
