Udupi: Tipper driver consumes liquor mixed with poison to end life

Udupi, Apr 22: A tipper driver committed suicide near Shirva market in the taluk probably by consuming liquor mixed with poisonous substance.

The victim is Chandrahas Poojary (53), resident of Janata Colony at Mattar. His body was found lying in a room behind Shirva market on Thursday. After leaving home on Wednesday, Chandrahar, who was a liquor addict, had not come back.

As a bottle of poison was found near his body, it is believed that he would have consumed poison with liquor, having been frustrated with his life. Poojary is survived by wife, a son, and a daughter.
