Theft attempt at priest’s residence at Kolalgiri church

Udupi, Apr 24: A theft attempt was made in the residence of the priest of Sacred Heart Church Kolalgiri on Friday night of April 22.

A thief entered the residence which is situated next to the church by opening the tiles on the roof and by breaking the ceiling. Then he took the books from shelf and threw them on the floor apparently looking for some valuables.

A brother who resides at the residence heard some noise and came out. The thief had fled the place by then. CCTV images have captured the images of the thief. Locals said the face is not known in the village area. Some said he looked like a North Indian.

A case stands registered at Brahmavar police station.
