Mangalore, Oct 17: The police have given a 10-day deadline to remove black films on windscreens, windows and rear glass of four-wheelers.
In a release, SP Sateesh Kumar said using black film is against the Central Motor Vehicles Act, which reads “The glasses of the windscreens and windows of every vehicle shall be such and shall be maintained in such condition as to be clearly transparent and allow the clear vision outside from the inside and inside from outside”.
This is being done to check criminal activities and to nab getaway drivers after and accident or flouting traffic rules. “Action will be initiated against those who do not follow the orders,” the SP warned.
