Rose Byrne believes men still get better roles

Los Angeles, Apr 28 (IANS): Actress Rose Byrne believes men still get better acting roles but is glad that there have been some changes when it comes to gender equality in Hollywood.

The 36-year-old actress also shared that she has learned that being "aggressive" and pushing for what you want is the way forward, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

"Most things I read, I still would much rather play the guy. There have been some changes, but I wish there was more," Byrne was quoted as saying by The Cut magazine.

"You gravitate to where you want to go, but so much is out of your control. I was doing all of this really heavy, dramatic stuff, and I just needed a break....

"You have to be aggressive in this business. You have always got to push for what you want. Working with Glenn (Close, on 'Damages'), she was the hardest worker ever. She was constantly pushing," she added.

She had previously slammed the movie industry for being "forgetful and unforgiving".
