Apr 29 (NDTV): A woman who was part of a protest in Patna was assaulted by policemen, including a senior officer, on a street in Patna; the attack was filmed by a local media crew and is now being circulated on social media.
Yesterday, a real estate developer sent a group of men to allegedly forcibly evict people living on a plot of land governed by a temple trust on Exhibition Road, in the central part of town.
After violence broke out, the police arrived and the builder's men allegedly fled. The police is seen then attacking the people who live there. The woman demonstrator is hit by Deputy Superintendent of Police Kailash Prasad.
