Udupi, Oct 19: An international conference on ‘Advances in Manufacturing Engineering’ (ICAME-2007) will be organized by the department of mechanical and manufacturing engineering of Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT) at college premises here on Wednesday October 24, said Dr AM Chincholkar.
He was speaking at a press conference here on Thursday October 18.
Speaking to mediapersons, he said that the conference will be inaugurated by major general A K Sinha, chief engineer of the Southern Command of Indian Army. P R Prabhu, general manager of Larson and Toubro, will be the chief guest, informed Dr Chincholkar.
He further said that nearly 200 delegates are expected to attend the conference. The keynote addresses will be delivered by the professors from IIT Delhi, he added.
In this international meet, various themes such as ‘Recent advances, developments and challenges in manufacturing’ will be discussed.
Dr Chandrashekhar Bhat and Dr S S Sharma, MIT faculty members and others were present at the press meet.
