Another Dalit student raped in Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram, May 4 (PTI): A Dalit nursing student was allegedly raped at Ayanthi in Varkala, an incident which comes close on the heels of the brutal rape and murder of a law college student in Kerala.

A case has been registered against three persons on the basis of the girl's complaint and investigations are on, police said today.

The incident occurred yesterday near Ayanthi bridge in Varkala.

The 19-year-old second year BSC nursing student had gone with an autorickshaw driver, who was known to her, in his vehicle. Two of his friends also got into the vehicle later. They then took the autorickshaw to a deserted spot and allegedly raped her.

The girl was in a state of shock and suffered from fits when she was found by some people who rushed to the vehicle on hearing her cries for help.

She has been admitted to the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital.

The incident comes days after a Dalit law student was raped and murdered in Ernakulam district.

    Mr. Prabhu,

Entire India is under BJP rule. Enacting a stricter law is in the hands of central govt. Has crime come down in past 2 years ? No !

Then, don't dream that change of government will enlighten the minds of rapists who don't think someday the women in their family could too go through similar experience of all start to do what they are doing just because its not BJP that rules a particular state !

The "rape" is spreading like a contagious virus. The anti-dose for this is imposition of strict law. There is no fear of any sort for the public...a attitude driving them to these crimes at will. If there would be law fear am sure the crimes will come down. Moreover all these crimes should be dealt immediately and strictly so that the public gets the message instantly.

    Jaimini,

If I remember correctly, you are originally from the very state where this news comes from. What kind of a man are you ? Just because you reside outside the sate and the government there is not the one you support, all your respect for women vanished ? You have no sympathy for the woman but say good it happened in Congi ruled sate ? Shifting sympathy from the victim actually means it rests with the accused - do you know ?

    Shame Jaimini, very shameful !

No previous Chief Ministers of Kerala have taken up developmental works as much the present Chief Minister like Honorable Oommen Chandy accomplished for Kerala.

SEE THE GRACEFUL CONGRESS WILL BE RETURNING BACK WITH A THUMPING MAJORITY IN KERALA.

    Jaimini,

You need to search and read this news, an episode happened in the very pious, people safe BJP state :
    Quote
A woman belonging to Uttar Pradesh thrashed a man on the railway platform alleging eve-teasing in Madhya Pradesh's Itarsi city. The woman continued to thrash the victim with her sandal despite railway police's intervention

There still reason for you to defend - that she was just eve-teased, not raped - right ?

Kerala is first state in regard to crimes. Reason behind no proper law and order. People always indulge in drinking. They themselves treat are separate country not any more attached to India. When chief minister is involved in such things..what about others.

Thankfully, the first person in the crime is her boyfriend, an auto driver. Hope investigations will lead to the other two and course of law will be implemented.

Dalit or otherwise, she is a human being. Lets fight for her and ensure that those who did this to her are punished so that rape is not taken so easy like a meal available free !
