Save Democracy rally: Sonia, Rahul and Manmohan released after courting arrest

New Delhi, May 6 (PTI/Agencies): Congress leaders Sonia, Rahul Gandhi and former PM Manmohan Singh were detained and released by police soon after they launched Save Democracy rally at Jantar Mantar on Friday in New Delhi.

Party leadership lanuched scathing attack against PM Modi government for allegedly dislodging Congress-led governments in Uttarakhand and Arunachal Pradesh and also dragging party leaders in VVIP chopper scandal .

Congress Vice-president Rahul Gandhi said only two people- PM Narendra Modiji and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwatji- calling the shots in today's Hindustan.

Former PM Manmohan Singh compared Congress party to a flowing river in his address to the party workers. No matter how many false allegations BJP level against it, it will not divert from its path, says Manmohan.

The rally at Jantar Mantar, is being organised amid a face-off between the opposition party and the BJP led-coalition government at the Centre over a host of issues, including the AgustaWestland scandal.

    Even BJPians respect MMS. just take advantage, this corrupt family using him in protest.
    May be congrest black mailing him to support them or they will blame him for all corruption help in his tenure. as he was PM at that time. because now there is heavy drout in congress due to scams, and they are seeking solution for leakage in arunachal pradesh and uttarkhand.

    Did these so called leaders of shrinking family opened their lip in this protest about chopper scam??
    Arunachal pradesh and Uttarkhand is nothing with MMS. Then whats the reason congrest pulling them in this case?
    MMS gave statement "PARTY WILL RESPOND" on chopper scam.
    Why Party? u were PM on that time, not Party. Its crystal clear by his statment that "WHO TOOK MONEY, THEY WILL REPLY"

    Congress is desperate and trying to save itself launching Save democracy rally. One after one all scams are bubbling out. Now they got the taste of court order for that they have been detained and released. Now the big order will come soon. I was surprised to see our School girl Renukaji hanging on the gate like a brave Olympic competitor.

    reason being Bhagwat being the head of RSS.
    RSS which has turned nightmare to congress for their illegal activities.
    May be their vote bank politics or its support for NGO's which carry out religion conversions.The same NGOs which want to destroy hinduism from this land.

    Whats this nautanki by the Cong, just to divert attention from the 'heli scam' . The bar dancer saying "Life has taught me to fight on......" or Should she say "Life has taught me to run away from issues and stall proceedings in parliament" . Cong chose to have this protest rally today, the day when Defence minister tables the Augusta report in Lok Sabha.....'dont try to frighten...' when in reality they are scared of being terminated and fighting for survival. Perhaps after this outdoor stint, they will need a foreign vacation. They can even deport themselves to Italy for good. Good for the nation.

No wonder Mrs. Sonia Gandhi became one of the richest lady in the world, richer than queen elizebeth. wow... now one by one scams are coming out. Investigation will definitely bring our all the facts and that day it will be a real arrest with out any release... very soon

    I feel pity on Congress and Dongie Bhakthas who are so scared that they will get drowned in the MMS's river called "Scam India". They dragged poor MMS to Jantar Mantar to save Congress. Cogress days are counted due to scam after scam.
