Beltangady, May 9: The rumours and unsubstantiated information which were making the rounds relating to the sudden death of Vinutha (21), daughter of Mohan Nekar from Venkatadri House in Vinayak Nagar, Halepete, Ujire, have finally come to a stop.
Vinutha had breathed her last on March 30 this year after vomitting, a day before her marriage. It has since been established that her death was the result of consumption of poison.
Vinutha's marriage had been fixed with Pratap from Ujire on March 31. Two days before the marriage, she had vomitted at the super market where she worked. The youth with whom her marriage was to be performed, had admitted her into the hospital.
She had recovered and come back home. After that, similar symptoms had re-appeared, after which she was again admitted into the hospital. She had died without responding to treatments.
Several rumours were floated about the way she died and reasons behind this incident. The postmortem report has now confirmed that her death was the result of consuming rat poison. This has finally nailed all the rumours and loose talk going on about the girl's death.
