Mangaluru, May 11: Corporator Pratibha Kulai was assaulted in a dispute relating to water. A complaint and counter complaint regarding the assault are registered at Surathkal police station.
While Kulai Kodikere residents were protesting in front of Kulai pump house, corporator Pratibha Kulai arrived to receive the complaint. A police complaint is registered that Kulai Kodikere resident Sunanda
assaulted her. Sunanda also lodged a complaint that she too was assaulted.
There has been no supply of water at Kulai Kodige for the last several days. The locals gathered at Kulai pump house and protested urging for proper supply of water. Surathkal station police have registered both the complaints and are investigating. Corporator Pratibha Kulai and Sunanda have got themselves admitted in the hospital and taken medical treatment.
