37 killed in Baghdad car bombing


Baghdad, May 11 (IANS): At least 37 people were killed and 54 others injured when a car bomb exploded at a busy marketplace in Iraq's capital Baghdad on Wednesday.

"Our latest report say 37 people were killed in the explosion in Sadr City marketplace," an interior ministry source told Xinhua news agency. 

The massive blast occurred when a booby-trapped car went off at a popular outdoor market in the Shia bastion of Sadr city district.
