Union Cabinet recommends revocation of President's rule

New Delhi, May 11 (PTI): The Union Cabinet today recommended revocation of President's rule in Uttarakhand soon after the Supreme Court put its stamp on the floor test in the Assembly won by Harish Rawat yesterday and directed that he be reinstated.

The Cabinet met briefly at Parliament House at around 12.45 PM after Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi told the apex court that the Centre will revoke President's rule in the state imposed over six weeks ago.

"The Cabinet has recommended revocation of President's Rule in Uttarakhand," a senior government functionary said.

The AG had conceded in the court that Rawat has proved his majority. "It is clear from news and other reports that orderly vote did take place and Rawat proved his majority. I have taken instruction from the government... that we will revoke the President's rule," the AG said.

The bench said Rawat will assume office as CM after President's rule is revoked. "We allow the Centre to revoke forthwith the order of proclamation of President's rule in the state," it said.

The money (Tax what we pay) Mr. Modi is spending in his personal advisory board is huge and can feed one meal for Indians. Now these type of political tricks will not only cause money but impact in development, involvement in judiciary, unnecessary riots, hatred between citizens, and finally they will blame & destroy some persons family.
