People generally call me moody: Shaheer Sheikh

Mumbai, May 11 (IANS): Actor Shaheer Sheikh, who is currently playing the role of Dev in “Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi”, says in real life he is quite similar to his character in the popular soap opera and is often called “cold, rude or moody” by others.

Asked whether he is similar to Dev in real life, Shaheer told IANS: I'm fun with people I know. But at the same time people also say that I am a little cold, rude and moody. Moody is the word they generally use for me.

“I actually am the way I am. I would not pretend to be nice just because I have to be like that with anyone. In that way I'm quite similar to Dev."

Shaheer, who rose to fame through his portrayal of Arjun in “Mahabharat”, says he would love to be a part of another mythological show but, only if its a finite series.

“I don't think I have the power to do more mythological shows, but I would love to if it's like a finite series. But doing that as a daily soap is not easy.

“Mythological shows take a lot from you. When I was shooting for 'Mahabharat', in those one or one and a half years, I didn't live my life. I was living as Arjun. Not even one single day I was Shaheer. But that paid off very well as everyone loved my role,” he said.

Talking about “Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi”, which is aired on Sony Entertainment Television, Shaheer said: “I am doing 'Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi' as I wanted to do something with which today's youth can connect themselves to.

The mother-son relationship that people can see between Supriya Pilgaonkar and me in the show is very different. The kind of bond they share is amazing”.
