PM should apologise, hope he learns lesson:Oppn on Rawat return

New Delhi, May 11 (PTI): With Harish Rawat set to be reinstated as Uttarakhand Chief Minister, Opposition parties today demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi apologise to Parliament with the Congress hoping he "learns his lesson".

As the Congress, AAP and other opposition parties hailed the return of Rawat, asserting that democracy has won, the CPI(M) said the "anti-constitutional conspiracy" hatched by the BJP to topple the state government has received a "big setback".

The BJP on its part sought to fend off the attack on the party after the Supreme Court gave its nod for Rawat's return, claiming that the Congress has "bought" majority in the state but it has lost "Uttarakhand people's majority".

"They (BJP) did their worst. We did our best. Democracy won in Uttarakhand!. Hope Modiji learns his lesson--people of this country and the institutions built by our founding fathers will not tolerate the murder of democracy!," Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi said in a series of tweets.

"Prime Minister should apologize in Parliament and sack the Minister who advised him to impose President's Rule in Uttarakhand," Congress leader Kapil Sibal told reporters.
Delhi Chief Minister and AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal took to Twitter to hit out at the Modi government.

"Modi Govt shud apologise to the nation for acting in unconstitutional and undemocratic manner in Uttarakhand," Kejriwal tweeted.

The Polit Bureau of the CPI(M) said the reinstatement of Rawat is a big setback for the BJP.

"This is a big setback to the anti-Constitutional conspiracy hatched by the BJP of trying to topple the government in the state and impose its rule there.

"The BJP should learn that its resort to such methods at subterfuge to remove democratically elected state governments headed by opposition parties will not succeed," the party said in a statement.

BJP said that Congress has imposed President's rule in the country on more than 100 occasions and alleged they have "bought" the majority in Uttarakhand but the party has lost the majority of the people of the state.

"Congress has put President's rule in the country for more than 100 times. It (Uttarakhand episode) was Congress's internal strife. There was revolt among the Congress MLAs due to the anti-people policy of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.

"The MLAs revolted against Harish Rawat as he was involved in corruption," BJP national secretary Shrikant Sharma alleged, adding," That is why their government fell and President's rule was imposed in the state. Congress has bought majority, they did not get majority. But Congress has lost Uttarakhand people's majority."

Congress has murdered democracy by controlling judicial system and CBI. All these years they ruled the country by corruption,Nepotism, and appeasing backward class and minorities. India is a land of tremendous resources and intelligent people but dongies kept India in dark and still as a developing country. After 60 years of their corrupt and misrule people are still struggling for basic amenities like water, electricity and shelter. Now the electronic media has become strong and people have realised dongies miss rule and dongies are feeling the heat.

As per Sri, karkal "Actually congress has to apologize for 60 years of mis rule"!

    @ Mr. Sri,
Understand one thing, if BJP ruled India last 60 years, we would have still been in 'Stone Age' now, without any exposure to modern world, science and technology.

If India shining today in world map, it is because of Congress rule only. You can not disagree with it, just because you are a FEKU bhakt.

Yes, I agree, 'there were lot of scams, corruption, irregularities etc...' & these all things are there in every countries in the world. Can you name a single country, where corruption is Zero & each and every citizen is non-corrupt?

I am not a blind supporter of Congress, but if Bhakths cry all the time saying 'Congress had done nothing in past 60 years', the person who is agreeing with this statement is really a big fool.

@prem- bjp was born as result of mis rule of congress. I hope you agree that. You also agreed that corruption is essential organ of congress pillar.
Now president rule was applied due to internal fights in congress MLA's. It is nothing to do with central government. Supreme court felt that it is ok to give one more chance to congress fighters. Let us see what will happen in future.

Only highly educated, (Their is a huge difference between educated & Degree holders, Degree & Certificate can be purchased and education can't be purchased) Not certificate or Degree holders should become Indian Prime minister. India is the most difficult country to Govern due to it's multi cultural, multi regional, Multi cast & religion people. By electing nationalistic or hard core religious persons as Prim minister may cause disintegration of the country on regional & religious grounds. States like Kerala, Punjab, Kashmir, Tamil nadu, may fight for separation from Indian union and India may lost to Pre-British/Pre-Mogul period.

The Quran addressed him " Prophet Sulaiman", also as a specially chosen vessel of GOD who was the 3rd King of Israel. When GOD asked him what he is asking from GOD, his answer was very straight and simple, " wisdom ". So, he became the wisest man ever lived on earth.

In the book of Proverbs, it says very clearly by King Sulaiman or Solomon" Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before fall" Proverbs 16:8 (Bible)

The BJP administration is basically a show of trinity, Mr. Modi-Amith Shaw and Arun Jaitly behind their chair another small group like Naidu from Andhra and Irani etc. The largest democracy has been turned as a boat journey across the Godhavari river like the make in India show at Mumbai a few months back.

The big electoral victory of the BJP led them to the zenith of pride, and the be all and end all of the party began to act like an infallible personality.

He has to apologize to the Parliament, and also to the people of Kerala for the most low standard lambasting of Kerala as Somalia has caused too much humiliation for the people of Kerala and of the Kerala origin living around the world.

If he thinks that he is above the law, then he will be forced to pay the price dearly because that is the history of the high minded and headed politicians of history. Else, the short cut is to resign without giving an apology.
