Passengers on UP state-owned buses to get chilled water


Lucknow, May 12 (IANS): Passengers travelling on state-owned buses in Uttar Pradesh can now buy chilled, bottled water on board, an official said on Thursday.

'Parivahan Neer' bottled water is being made available at a price of Rs.nine for half litre, Rs.14 for a litre, and Rs.22 for two litres for passengers travelling up to 200 km and above, the official told IANS.

Water is being stored in ice-boxes in about 3000 buses of the Uttar Pradesh State Roadways Transport Corporation (UPSRTC), the official said.
