Udupi: Sandesha Yatra to be held on November 3

Udupi, Oct 24: Brahmashri Narayana Guru Janamadinothsava Aacharana Samithi will organize a Sandesha Yatra on Saturday November 3 at 2 pm, said Devanand, charted accountant and member of the samithi at a press meet at Bannanje Narayana Guru Mandir here on Tuesday October 23.

The Yatra is organized to commemorate the 153rd birth anniversary of Brahmashri Narayana Guru, he informed. He also said that this Yatra is planned to retain communal harmony in the district and to spread the message of religious tolerance among the public.

He further said that J P Narayan Swamy, industrialist will inaugurate the said Yatra. Former KPCC president Janardhan Poojary will also participate in the Yatra, Devanand added.

This Yatra will begin from Jodukatte and will wind up at Adi Udupi. The said Yatra is open to all, he added.

Vinay Kumar Sorake, former MP, Raghavendra, senior artist, Krishnappa Kotian, president, Bannanje Billava Sangha and Katpadi Shankar Poojary were also present at the press meet.
